How to Convert an UPPAbaby Vista into a Double Stroller

I have had my UPPAbaby Vista stroller for over 4 years now. I first used it for my singleton and now for my twins. I can’t say enough good things about it. It has served us so well and now that we have officially bought a wagon, we are slowly phasing out the stroller and I am sad to say goodbye to it, it is such a good stroller!

In this blog post, I will explain how to convert an UPPAbaby Vista (or UPPAbaby Vista V2 – it’s the same steps) from a single rider stroller to a double stroller.

First you will need to find the correct adaptors for your infant car seats. I used the UPPAbaby MESA Infant Car Seat for all 3 of my kids so I found the upper adaptors and lower adaptors for the MESA car seat, on the official UPPAbaby website. You need the upper adaptors to create space to add a second seat to the bottom.

These adaptors also work for the UPPAbaby bassinet and are compatible for 2 bassinets.

Then once your babies are able to sit up on their own you can switch over to the toddler seat and the rumble seat! You can use the same upper adaptors for the toddler seat that comes with your stroller. Once again, these upper adaptors are needed to create space for a second lower seat. The second lower seat is called the Rumbleseat. You will need different lower adaptors for the Rumbleseat but they come with the Rumbleseat purchase. A bug shield is also included with the Rumbleseat purchase.

Must-Have Add-Ons:

Rain shields for the toddler seat and rumbleseat. When you purchase your stroller, the toddler seat comes with a rain shield but you will have to buy a rain shield for the rumbleseat.

Bug covers for the toddler seat and rumbleseat. Both of these seats come with a bug cover!

Stroller fans to attach to the bumper bars! These fans are USB rechargeable and have 3 different speeds.

Snack trays! I didn’t get these but wish I had. You can remove the bumper bars and attach these snack trays. Absolutely perfect for a snack at the park or well on the go!

Piggyback riding board – This is a must-have if you have an older child who still would like to hitch a ride in the stroller but no longer has a seat. I have a piggyback for my daughter and it has definitely been used on long walks when her legs get tired.

I know this stroller is a lot of money upfront but I have got every single penny out of it. It is worth the investment. Trust me.
